Synopsis

On the planet Arbre, scholars live in monastery-like communities called concents, sealed off from the outside world for decades or centuries at a time. When Fraa Erasmas is called out of his concent to investigate a mysterious alien ship orbiting the planet, he’s drawn into events that challenge everything his civilization believes about the nature of reality.
