Synopsis

Miles Vorkosigan is sent to a space station to resolve a diplomatic crisis involving Barrayaran soldiers and a fleet of genetically modified refugees. What seems like a routine assignment becomes a dangerous investigation when Miles discovers a biological weapon and a conspiracy that could spark an interstellar war.
