Synopsis

In two intertwined timelines, a modern historian investigates why a medieval German village vanished from all maps, while in 1348, the village’s priest shelters aliens whose spaceship has crashed in the Black Forest. As the Black Death approaches, Father Dietrich must reconcile Christian theology with the existence of beings from another world.
