Synopsis

Eleven-year-old Candidia Smith-Foster, a Homo post hominem with genius-level intelligence and extraordinary physical abilities, survives a devastating bionuclear plague that wipes out most of humanity. Accompanied by her pet macaw Terry, she sets out across a shattered America to find others like herself, recording her journey in a distinctive telegraphic shorthand.
