Synopsis

Reporter Freddy Foley stumbles into a secret war between ancient factions vying for control of humanity's evolutionary destiny, each representing a different 'mansion' or stage of spiritual development. Lafferty weaves a wild, hallucinatory tale blending Christian mysticism, Teilhardian philosophy, and surrealist humor.
