Synopsis

After a portal opens between our world and a parallel Earth where Neanderthals became the dominant species, Neanderthal physicist Ponter Boddit returns to our world and falls in love with geneticist Mary Vaughan. Their relationship bridges two radically different civilizations, each with lessons for the other.
