Synopsis

In an alternate Regency England where magic has returned after centuries of absence, reclusive scholar Mr Norrell and daring young magician Jonathan Strange become master and pupil — then rivals. Their conflict awakens dangerous forces from England's magical past, including the capricious fairy known as the gentleman with the thistle-down hair.
