Synopsis

On the Elder Isles, a mythical archipelago across the sea from old Gaul in the time before King Arthur, Princess Suldrun defies her ruthless father King Casmir and is imprisoned in a wild sea-garden that becomes both refuge and cage. When a shipwrecked prince washes ashore, their doomed love sets in motion a sweeping tale of scheming magicians, vengeful witches, fairies, changelings, and warring kingdoms.
