Synopsis

After sea levels have risen fifty feet, New York City has become a supervenice of skyscrapers rising from flooded streets, where residents navigate by boat and the financial system treats waterlogged real estate as a speculative gold mine. Through an ensemble of characters — from hedge fund managers to building superintendents — the novel explores how a drowned city fights back against the capitalism that drowned it.
