Synopsis

Captain Cheris, a disgraced mathematical prodigy, is given an impossible mission: retake an impregnable fortress from heretics threatening the hexarchate's calendar-dependent reality. Her only weapon is the undead consciousness of General Jedao, a brilliant tactician who went mad and massacred his own army four hundred years ago.
