Synopsis

When an alien spacecraft is detected approaching the solar system, humanity discovers the Pak Protectors, a hyper-intelligent and ferociously powerful stage of evolution that may represent mankind's own distant ancestors. The revelation forces a lone human and his alien contact into a desperate gambit that will determine whether Earth survives or is reshaped by its creators.
