Synopsis

In 1873 Washington Territory, a mysterious woman who speaks no known language stumbles into a Chinese railroad workers' camp. A Chinese laborer named Chin Ah Kin follows her on a picaresque journey through the Pacific Northwest, encountering asylum inmates, suffragettes, and sideshow operators in a story that blurs the line between literary fiction and science fiction.
