Synopsis

On a remote hacienda in nineteenth-century Mexico, Carlota Moreau has grown up sheltered among her father's human-animal hybrid creations. When a handsome new assistant arrives and a local landowner threatens the estate, Carlota begins to question everything she knows about her father, his experiments, and her own mysterious illness.
