Synopsis

On the world of Darkover, two couples — Terran and Darkovan — defy centuries of tradition by forming an unsanctioned matrix circle, a 'forbidden tower' that challenges the monopoly of the powerful Towers over psychic technology. As they develop their forbidden abilities, they face persecution from the ruling Comyn and must fight for the right to use their gifts freely.
