Synopsis

Professional gambler Jason dinAlt is recruited to visit Pyrrus, the deadliest planet in the galaxy, where every form of native life has evolved to kill humans and the embattled colonists wage a constant war for survival. As Jason investigates why the planet's hostility keeps escalating, he discovers that the colonists' own aggression is psychically provoking the biosphere.
