Synopsis

The Nova Mob, parasitic extraterrestrial criminals who occupy human hosts, manipulate humanity through addiction, language, and mass-media imagery, driving Earth toward an apocalyptic 'nova' of escalating conflicts. Inspector Lee and the Nova Police pursue them across a fractured reality, attempting to expose and dismantle the 'reality film' that enslaves human consciousness. Composed with Burroughs's cut-up and fold-in techniques, the novel enacts its own thesis that scrambling the word lines of control is the path to liberation.
