Synopsis

In the 24th century, the brilliant entrepreneur Simeon Krug directs the construction of a massive tower of glass in the Arctic tundra, intended to answer mysterious signals from the stars. Meanwhile, the androids he created to build the tower have developed a secret religion worshipping Krug as their god, yearning for the freedom and equality he refuses to grant them.
