Synopsis

Charlie Johns awakens in Ledom, a seemingly utopian society of hermaphroditic humans who have transcended gender, and must decide whether their radical social experiment represents humanity's salvation or an abomination. Alternating between Charlie's exploration of Ledom and vignettes of a contemporary suburban couple struggling with rigid gender roles, the novel provocatively examines sexuality and gender identity.
